What we are, and what we are not

InsuranceXR publishes information about auto, home, life, and final expense insurance, and connects people who want to talk to a licensed insurance agent with one.

When you call a number on this site, you reach a licensed agent in our partner network. Everything that follows — the questions, the quote, the application, the policy — happens between you and that agent. We are not on the call and we do not see what you discuss.

The licensed agents and insurance companies in our partner network pay us for the connection, on a per-call basis.

Two things follow from that, and both are worth knowing. First, we have a commercial interest in you calling — that is what this site is for and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Second, we are paid the same whether or not you buy anything, and the same regardless of which policy you choose. We have no financial reason to steer you toward a particular product.

What we do not do is sell your information to data brokers or to anyone outside the network of agents who might actually help you.

Three rules, applied to everything on this site:

• Every number has a source. Statistics carry the publication they came from and the date we verified them. If we cannot source it, it does not go on the site.
• State requirements link to the regulator. Every state page links to that state’s Department of Insurance, because they are the authority and we are not.
• No invented urgency. No agent counters, no countdown timers, no "only 3 spots left in your area". Those numbers are always fabricated, and we would rather you trusted the ones that are not.

One more, which matters most: insurance rates in the United States are filed with and approved by state regulators. There is no secret pricing tier and no phrase that unlocks a discount. Any site telling you otherwise is describing something that does not exist.

If you call, we do not collect what you say — that conversation is between you and the agent. Our call-tracking provider records the number you called from, the time and how long the call lasted, and we record which page and which button you called from, so we can tell which pages produce useful calls. Nothing you type reaches us, because you never typed anything.

If you fill in a form, what you enter goes to us and, if you consent, to the licensed agents who can respond. You can withdraw that at any time using our opt-out form, and our privacy policy sets out your rights in full.
